Ina Ekamrak was born in Dillingham and raised in Manakotak. She completed high school at the Manakotak School. After completing high school Ina enrolled in UAF and pursued a major in physical education. She also attended the Travel Academy and was certified as a travel specialist. She is married and has 4 children. Currently she lives with her family in Akiachak, Alaska. Ina is a fluent speaker of Yup’ik.

Ina enjoys her work with AKPIRC as she is helping families by keeping them aware of their children's attendance and how important attendance is to a student’s success in school.  She also enjoys improving communication between families and the school.
